The Tamiya 72101 set is aimed at model builders and classroom robotics projects. It supplies two geared 380K75 motors matched with sponge tyres that give good traction for small-scale drive trials. The 380K75 runs on DC7.2V with an unloaded speed of 242 rpm and a maximum torque of 5.0 kg/cm, so the pair can support an estimated combined mass up to about 4kg for demonstrations and tests.
This kit is handy for constructing entry-level competition machines or for exploring basic mechanical engineering principles. Each motor and tyre assembly supports around 2kg, and the package contains motor mounts, wheel hub shafts and the basic fittings needed to assemble and integrate the units into your projects.
