Centre Skid Guard for Gmade R1

This aluminium centre skid guard is offered as an aftermarket upgrade for the Gmade R1 platform to protect the chassis centre from repeated contact with rocks and trail obstacles. It is a straightforward protective accessory rather than a performance tuning item.

Fitting uses the R1's factory mounting points at the chassis centre; validate hole alignment and thread engagement during fitment so the plate sits flush. Compared with many stock plastic plates, the alloy construction resists wear better and the red finish makes underside contact points easier to spot during maintenance.

Practical note: while primarily for protection, the plate can slightly change skid characteristics. After installation, recheck clearance and skid behaviour if you make ride height or suspension geometry adjustments for particular courses.

How does this differ from the stock plastic plate?

The alloy plate gives a firmer wear surface and improved longevity compared with many stock plastics, and its red finish aids visual wear checks.

Will installing the plate change how my R1 moves over obstacles?

Any change is usually minor; the plate can modify the underside contact profile so confirm clearance and skid behaviour after fitting, especially if you adjust suspension settings.
