This tie rod and drag link set is a direct replacement for the factory plastic links on AXIAL 1/30 SCX30-based crawlers and is intended for hobby RC use only. Machined from 7075-T6 aluminum, the parts cut steering flex and stiffen the connection between the servo output and steering knuckles. The design stays compact and light so it fits within the scale limits of 1/30 rock crawlers while improving durability for regular trail running.
The assembly targets steering control and easy adjustment: threaded rod ends take the supplied pivot balls so you can tune toe and steering travel quickly. After fitting, check alignment and servo centring to preserve correct steering geometry.
Match the pivot balls and screw sizes in the kit to the stock items before assembly. Ensure adequate thread engagement to avoid stripping tiny threads; tighten until firm but do not overdo torque. After installation, verify steering endplay and make small rod-end cuts if needed to remove binding.
Regularly inspect thread ends and pivot balls for wear or looseness. Use a light film of lubrication on pivot balls to quiet operation and limit wear, avoiding heavy greases that collect dust. Replace worn pivot balls or micro screws promptly to keep steering crisp.
