Center mount plate description

This graphite center mount plate is produced for the YZ-4S RC chassis and suits the B-YZ4SF layout. The component uses graphite to alter center stiffness and weight balance for tuning purposes. Fitment is intended on the chassis' standard mounting points.

During installation concentrate on alignment and correct torque values rather than fabricating new mounts. Verify that screw holes align with the YZ-4S pattern and tighten fasteners to recommended engagement without over-stressing the graphite. After installation confirm drivetrain clearances and check the chassis is flat on a bench to ensure predictable handling.

On handling: installing a graphite center plate typically stiffens the center relative to softer plates, which can improve turn-in responsiveness and lower mid-corner body roll on race setups. Introduce adjustments gradually and run test laps to gauge changes, combining the plate with minor suspension or damping tweaks to find the best balance.

Compatibility

  • YZ-4S
  • B-YZ4SF chassis
Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Use a moderate, controlled torque that secures the plate without compressing or cracking the graphite; avoid heavy overtightening and follow your chassis fastener guidance where available.
No custom fabrication is needed. The plate is designed to mount to existing YZ-4S holes, so check alignment before final tightening.
Small suspension or damper adjustments often complement the stiffer center section. Make incremental changes and evaluate handling through test runs to find the preferred balance.
