This XRAY 354021 aluminium upper mount is a CNC-machined centre component designed for flat-chassis GTX applications. It combines the 2-speed transmission upper support with an integrated brake caliper mounting point to keep shifting and braking geometry consistent under race loads.

The part's Swiss 7075 T6 aluminium construction increases stiffness in the drivetrain tower area, reducing flex that can disturb 2-speed engagement or brake alignment. Precision machining ensures repeatable fitment to the chassis mating points and predictable interaction with the gearbox and brake assembly.

From a setup perspective the component acts as a fixed reference between the gearbox and the brake system. Tuners use it to stabilise shift timing and maintain consistent pad alignment without adding additional stack-ups to the chassis layout. It is intended solely for RC-scale GTX platforms configured with a flat chassis layout.

Swiss 7075 T6 is a high-strength aerospace-grade alloy offering excellent stiffness and fatigue resistance for static drivetrain loads. It is robust for normal racing use but should be inspected after heavy impacts.
Aluminium alloys resist corrosion well; however, surface finish and exposure to salt or chemicals can affect longevity. Keep parts clean and dry for best results.
CNC machining delivers precise contact surfaces that limit uneven wear, but regular checks are recommended if the car sees heavy duty cycles or frequent gearbox servicing.
Aluminium conducts heat; in normal operation the mount will not degrade from routine temperature changes. Monitor seals and lubricants in the gearbox as part of regular maintenance.
