Technical notes for the 98mm rear dogbone

This 98mm rear central dogbone is machined from Hudy Spring Steel and heat-treated to increase wear resistance. Material has been selectively removed to trim rotating mass while maintaining structural integrity through precise hand-finishing.

The assembly uses HUDY hardened pins in a 6° h-pin layout listed in the model designation to secure the dogbone under load. Each shaft receives CNC machining and individual inspection to uphold repeatable geometry for serious track use.

Installation notes: the dogbone is intended as a direct replacement for the rear central shaft in compatible GTX 2026 setups and couples with standard dogbone cups and diffs on 1/10 touring car drivetrains. Always verify pin fit and bearing alignment during installation and after initial running.

Remark :

Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Inspect for visible wear at pin contact points, scoring on the shaft surface, or increased play. If any of these appear, plan to replace the shaft to avoid driveline issues.
Check the shaft for consistent diameter and surface finish along its length, and confirm pins seat flush. A run-in check for smooth rotation will reveal any alignment issues.
The pins are hardened components; you can inspect and replace them if wear appears. Keep spares on hand and replace pins that show deformation or excessive wear.
Hand-finishing is performed to tight tolerances to preserve concentricity. If you detect vibration or uneven rotation, re-check bearing alignment and shaft seating.
