Introduced in 1971 and built on the Sunny car platform, the Sunny Truck earned a reputation for reliability and economy across Asian markets. The long body deluxe early type was a familiar sight through the 1970s, with broader overseas access arriving after tariff changes decades later.
Hasegawa's 1/24 rendition captures the early long body deluxe GB120 with finely modelled bodywork and trim. This release gives builders a clear route to recreate the truck as seen between 1973 and 1979.
The kit comes with new tooling for the grille, wheel caps, a detailed steering wheel and seat assemblies. These parts raise the level of authenticity and make the build appealing to hobbyists who focus on period accuracy.
At about 175 mm in length and 63 mm across, the scale model occupies a modest display footprint while offering the option to vary ride height for a customised stance.
