The Sauber Mercedes C9 became a standout in late 1980s endurance racing and achieved a notable result at the 1989 24 Hours of Le Mans. Hasegawa's kit captures the test car silhouette in 1/24, giving scale modellers the chance to recreate a classic endurance racer.
The C9 was driven by a twin-turbo V8 package that delivered the power required for long-distance events. As a modelling subject, it rewards attention to aerodynamic details and authentic livery application, making it popular among historic racing enthusiasts.
Parts fit and surface detail from Hasegawa allow a clean build when parts are prepared and assembled carefully. With decals included, finished models sit well in a collection or on a display shelf emphasising 1980s race engineering.
