Hasegawa 20800 represents the TWR-modified Jaguar XJ-S H.E. in 1/24 scale, supplied as a plastic assembly kit aimed at modellers who want a historically accurate static model.
The XJ-S started life as a mid-1970s grand tourer that followed the E-Type. During the 1980s Tom Walkinshaw Racing refined the XJ-S for touring and endurance racing, changing aerodynamic elements and chassis details to suit competition. Those TWR cars ran in European series and international endurance events of that era.
This kit emphasises the car's external race specification including period-correct body shapes, aero fittings and wheel designs. Fitment will require standard finishing work such as trimming, sanding and filling to eliminate seams before painting and decal application.
Accurate colour matching and careful decal placement are key to recreating the period race livery. The parts support weathering and presentation techniques used by collectors, and the finished model works well on a display plinth or as part of a race-day scene.
A faithful 1/24 take on the TWR Jaguar XJ-S focused on external detail and period livery, suited to builders assembling a display-quality historic race car model.
