High-RPM needle for precise mixture control

The YS Engine YSS2048 high speed needle is an RC carburettor spare built to give accurate control over the engine's high-speed fuel mixture. Positioned as the metering element in a glow engine carburettor, it helps refine behaviour in mid-to-high RPM ranges during tuning work.

Supplied as a single replacement part, fitting the needle requires access to the carburettor needle seat and standard tools used in hobby engine servicing. The hardened steel tip and finish are selected to reduce wear from frequent needle swaps and tuning sessions.

Function during tuning

At higher throttle openings the high-speed needle regulates fuel flow. Minor turns will change mixture strength noticeably, so make small adjustments while watching engine note and temperature. This component is aimed at precision mixture tuning rather than bulk repairs.

Installation notes

• Remove the air filter to expose the carburettor.
• Rotate the needle gently with the correct driver, keeping track of turns from your baseline.
• After replacement, operate the engine in a controlled environment and confirm mixture and temperature readings.
