This 1/700 scale injection-moulded plastic kit reproduces HMS Renown in her 1942 wartime configuration and is supplied as a multipart assembly for scale modelling construction.
The Renown class were two British battlecruisers originally intended as modified Revenge-class battleships. They were lengthened and reconfigured to carry three main turrets with reduced armor to speed build times, entering service after the Battle of Jutland period. Both vessels served through the world wars; HMS Repulse was lost to Japanese air attack in December 1941, while HMS Renown survived and was broken up in 1948.
This edition shows the ship in 1942 fitting and is provided as a multi-part plastic assembly. The kit specification lists an overall model length of 346 mm, a beam of 44.6 mm, and a total of 288 plastic parts. The box dimensions correspond to the packaged components and the kit targets builders interested in deck arrangement and wartime equipment detailing.
A detailed, compact plastic kit that captures the 1942 silhouette of HMS Renown for display or collection.
