The North American T-6G Texan is a well known World War II trainer that also saw combat and support roles. Originating in 1934 as a trainer, the type went on to serve as a fighter, forward air controller and even a fighter-bomber; the T-6G examples were often rebuilt from older airframes and powered by a 550 hp Pratt & Whitney unit.
The Texan is historically important for its role in training pilots, notably those who trained at Tuskegee Army Airfield in Alabama in 1941. That training helped shape a distinguished group of wartime aviators.
This 1:72 scale Hobby Boss kit reproduces the lines of the Texan and presents a focussed build with fine detailing. It is ideal for collectors and modellers interested in compact, historically accurate aircraft.
