The Bell P-39 Airacobra played a notable role early in World War II after its first flight in April 1939, produced by Bell Aircraft Corporation. Its engineering features include an Allison engine mounted behind the pilot, a driveshaft beneath the cockpit, and a 37 mm T9 cannon firing through the propeller hub.
This Hobby Boss 1:72 rendition of the P-39 N Airacobra represents the aircraft's key features in plastic form. Of the 9,584 P-39s built, a significant portion were supplied to the Soviet Union via lend-lease, making this type historically relevant for scale collections.
