Compact Rocket Interceptor Model

The Hobby Boss HB-80238 1/72 scale kit represents the German Me163 Komet, an unusual rocket-powered fighter from World War II conceived under Project X in 1937 by Dr Alexander Lippisch. Designed as a defensive interceptor, the Me163 saw development into the Me163 B in 1943 and entered production in July 1944, with 279 aircraft delivered to the Luftwaffe despite the aircrafts short flight endurance and fuel challenges.
