The F/A-18 "Hornet" is obviously one and two-seat, dual engine, multi-mission fighter/attack aircraft that may run from either aircraft businesses or land bases. The F/A-18 fills a number of functions: atmosphere superiority, fighter escort, suppression of enemy atmosphere defenses, reconnaissance, ahead environment control, close and deep environment assistance, and all the full time attack missions. The F/A-18 Hornet replaced the F-4 Phantom II fighter and A-7 Corsair II light attack jet, including changed the A-6 Intruder since these aircraft was indeed resigned through the entire 1990s.
