1/48 A-7B Corsair II Kit by Hobby Boss 80343

The LTV A-7 Corsair II is a distinctive carrier-based subsonic light attack aircraft that replaced the A-4 Skyhawk during the Vietnam era. It later served in Air Force and Air National Guard units, taking on missions once handled by aircraft like the A-1 Skyraider and the F-100 Super Sabre. Derived from the F-8 Crusader, the A-7 included cockpit tech such as a head-up display and inertial navigation.

About the A-7B Scale Model

This Hobby Boss 80343 1/48 kit represents the A-7B, originally powered by the TF30-P-8 and later upgraded to the TF30-P-408 for greater thrust. With 196 produced, the A-7B had a notable service record, and the kit recreates many of its characteristic details for a hands-on modelling project.

Collector and Display Notes

The finished A-7B makes a compact yet impactful display, with carefully moulded shapes and cockpit cues. Model enthusiasts who value historical accuracy will find the build rewarding and well suited to display alongside other Cold War era subjects.
