The Focke-Wulf FW190D-12 R14 is recognised among collectors for its distinctive outline and operational role in WWII. Created under the direction of Dr. Kurt Tank, the FW190 variants were refined over time, and the D-12 R14 shows a larger vertical stabilizer comparable to later high-altitude types.
This Hobby Boss release provides model enthusiasts with the parts needed to recreate the aircraft faithfully. The box contains over 110 pieces including finely moulded fuselage and wing sections, detailed landing gear bays, and a faithful representation of the MK108 30mm cannon aligned with the propeller shaft. The centre-line bomb rack is modelled for an optional torpedo fitment.
Attention to seam lines and careful handling of the photo-etched component will help achieve a neat outcome. Dry-fitting subassemblies before glue and using a small brush for cockpit detail will improve realism. The kit rewards those who take time on paint and finishing.
