The FW190D-13 was a late World War II development overseen by Dr. Kurt Tank, built to boost Luftwaffe performance. This D-13 version featured a co-axial cannon arrangement with a 20mm MG151/20 and was driven by a Jumo 213 family engine. Production numbers were very limited, with roughly thirty airframes completed before the conflict ended.
This 1/48 scale kit offers over 130 parts including five clear pieces and photo-etched details for refined surfaces. The components are engineered to reproduce the airframe shapes accurately, and the model includes a detailed gear bay for authenticity. Builders can expect a precise build that highlights surface detail when carefully finished.
As a finished model it provides an accurate classroom piece or display subject, showing period design features and the Luftwaffe camouflage pattern. It complements collections focused on late-war fighter evolution.
