The GAZ-AA was produced as the Soviet version of the Ford Model AA and was widely used by the Red Army from 1932 until 1942. With a four-cylinder 40 HP engine the truck could reach roughly 70 km/h and served in roles from resupply runs to moving troops and acting as ambulances. The chassis was also adapted during conflict to carry weapons such as a 25-mm AA mount or multiple Maxim machine guns.
This Hobby Boss 1/35 model captures the GAZ-AA profile with more than 230 parts that are finely moulded for scale fidelity. The kit contains realistic rubber tyres and a selection of photo-etched parts to lift detailing. Completed dimensions are about 149.6mm length and 56mm width for an accurate footprint.
Assembly benefits from steady hands and attention to small detail areas like the cab and chassis. The inclusion of clear parts and updated tooling helps represent authentic elements. Finished builds look strong on a shelf or as part of a battlefield vignette.
