The BA-3 armoured car dates from 1933 and represents a practical interwar design. Originally mounted on a Ford-Timken chassis and later mirrored by GAZ-AAA conversions, the BA-3 combined heavy armour with optional track fittings to extend off-road capability.
This Hobby Boss 1/35 kit contains over 290 parts with a multi-slide hull and a turret made from three pieces, offering a detailed build experience. Photo-etched details are included to raise the fidelity of grills, fittings and exterior trim.
Finished dimensions come to roughly 140.8mm in length and 59.5mm across, with rubber tyres and fine surface detail that make the model a good centrepiece in a collection of early Soviet vehicles. It responds well to careful paintwork and period markings.
