This Hobby Boss 83845 kit captures the Russian ZIS-151, a significant postwar military truck that filled many transport and weapons carriage roles. The model reflects the truck that succeeded the Studebaker US6 and was often adapted for systems like the BM-13 Katyusha.
Built from 1947 until 1965 at Automotive Factory No. 2, initially named Zavod imeni Stalina and later Zavod imeni Likhacheva, the ZIS-151 formed a reliable part of Soviet transport fleets. Its successor, the ZIL-157, brought visual and mechanical changes such as a revised grille and single rear wheels.
The 1/35 scale assembly includes over 250 parts, offering a detailed build for experienced modellers. The kit features a multi-slide moulded cab and includes photo-etched components for sharper details, with rubber tyres that enhance the finished appearance.
