The aluminium construction provides a firmer bearing seat, helping to cut down lateral movement in the diff assembly. That reduced play often translates into more predictable drivetrain feedback when altering gear ratios or diff oil as part of setup changes.

Installation follows normal differential servicing steps: remove the diff from the gearbox, extract bearings and the original holder, press the bearings into the new aluminium holder making sure they seat correctly, and refit the diff. Standard RC hand tools are sufficient for the job. Finally, verify bearing preload and the diff's rotational freedom to avoid binding.
