16 tooth steel pinion suited to Baja chassis

This 16T steel pinion with a 5mm bore SBJ016TO features a regraded tooth profile tailored for HPI Baja chassis. It is supplied as an aftermarket steel option to mesh with the stock spur gear or SBJ057T, offering a tougher tooth surface than common soft pinions.

To fit, slide the pinion onto a 5mm motor shaft, align the pinion to the spur and tighten the set screw. Inspect tooth contact and backlash visually and turn the drivetrain by hand to ensure even engagement; the regraded profile improves the initial contact while you fine tune mesh settings. Supplied as 1pcs.
