Delrin collars tuned for BJ055

This four-piece set of Delrin collars is an aftermarket axle spacer kit for the HPI Racing BAJA BJ055 platform. The collars hold correct track width and limit side-to-side play on the BJ055 axle setup.

Delrin offers low surface friction against metal parts and resists compression more effectively than softer plastics. Installed between bearings, hexes or neighbouring gears, the collars keep axle geometry consistent during cornering and over uneven surfaces.

Installation is straightforward: remove the wheel and hex, place the collar where spacing is required on the axle or hub, then reassemble and check for correct endplay. Use standard RC hand tools and avoid overtightening to prevent crushing adjacent components.

Tuning tip: small changes in collar thickness influence camber and toe under load, so fit them before committing to shims or hub changes and verify wheel runout after fitting. Delrin helps reduce wear on mating parts but proper bearings and alignment remain essential.
