Precision aluminium steering and support links for SAVAGE XL FLUX

This aluminium tie rod set is built for the HPI Racing SAVAGE XL FLUX chassis to replace the original plastic links. The stiffer alloy parts are intended to cut down on steering flex and improve repeatability when driving off-road or under heavy load.

Delivered as a matched front and rear pair, the pieces use the same ball-ended connection points as the factory parts so the original suspension geometry is retained. Fitment focuses on a clean swap with secure fastening rather than bending or trimming the chassis.

Included mounting hardware is supplied for direct replacement: 3x18 stainless steel button head screw - 4 pcs, 3x20 stainless steel button head screw - 4 pcs, 3x6x2 aluminium collars - 4 pcs, 3x6x3 aluminium collars - 4 pcs, 3mm lock nut - 4 pcs. Use a thread locker on metal joints where appropriate and inspect for any rubs or interference after installation.

Are these alloy links heavier than stock parts?

Alloy links are typically heavier than plastic, but the tradeoff is reduced flex and crisper steering. Weight difference is minimal and will not require chassis reinforcement.

Can I reuse the stock ball ends?

The kit is compatible with the same ball-end fittings used on the stock setup; reuse existing ball cups if they are in good condition, otherwise replace for best fit.

Any maintenance tips after fitting?

Check screw torque and collar seating after the first few runs, and inspect link joints for play. Reapply thread locker if bolts show loosening signs.
