Alloy clutch shoe for Savage models

This alloy clutch shoe serves as a straightforward replacement for worn clutch shoes on HPI Savage and Savage X platforms. It is sized to sit in the standard shoe position and restore clutch operation on 1/8 scale vehicles.

To fit, strip the clutch assembly, inspect the clutch bell and spring condition, then place the shoe correctly on its pivot. Do a visual fit check before finalising the assembly, make sure the shoe moves freely, and do not overtighten any fasteners which could cause binding.

In tuning situations the material choice changes engagement characteristics and heat dissipation. Moving to an alloy shoe will affect wear and thermal response versus composite types, so pair it with suitable springs and run controlled break-in laps while monitoring for uneven wear or overheating.
