This alloy fuel tank protector is a compact RC-scale accessory designed for HPI Savage nitro off-road models. Crafted from aluminium alloy with a purple finish, it wraps around the tank area to help block brush and flying debris while leaving service access intact.

Because the part is tailored for the Savage series from HPI, confirm the location of tank mounts and surrounding chassis features before attempting to fit. The protector is an external item only and does not change internal tank shape or fuel system components.

Fitting typically involves modest disassembly near the tank mounts and using standard fasteners; where possible reuse original mounting points to avoid cutting or drilling the chassis. Once attached, check clearance to the exhaust, servo linkages and body posts throughout suspension travel.
