Medium P120 sanding drum for tyre profiling

The HUDY 102580 Professional aluminium sanding drum is an accessory for RC-scale tyre profiling and tread refinement. The P120 abrasive bonded to the aluminium core provides a medium cut that balances material removal with surface finish on rubber tyres.

Use the drum in a tyre truer or a compatible sanding drum holder; it mounts on mandrels found on standard truing setups. Because each truer or holder secures the drum differently, follow the mounting and tightening guidance for your specific host tool.

In practice, this drum is a shaping tool: it evens out tread, removes small mould marks, and smooths transitions when tuning the tyre contact patch. The medium P120 grit offers consistent removal rates that help predict tyre behaviour after profiling.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some HUDY items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 8-12 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
It is intended for profiling and trimming RC tyres, using P120 medium abrasive to refine tread shapes and remove minor moulding imperfections.
Longevity depends on pressure and usage patterns. Light, controlled passes extend abrasive life; heavy, sustained cuts will wear the P120 surface faster.
The aluminium core provides stable support for the abrasive. Store the drum dry and avoid impacts to maintain the core's integrity over repeated sessions.
The drum is described for tyre surfaces. Foam inserts respond differently to abrasives, so test on spare inserts to judge the effect before using it on a primary tyre.
Remove debris with gentle brushing or compressed air between passes. Avoid soaking the abrasive; keep it dry to preserve bond and cutting action.
Verify mandrel diameter and clearance on your truer or holder, and confirm that a medium P120 grit meets your profiling and finishing plan.
