When to Use the Coarse Grain

This disk is best suited to initial tyre shaping and removing mould lines or excess rubber before moving to finer abrasives. It excels when you need to quickly reshape the tyre profile prior to final finishing.

The coarse disk works on most conventional slot car rubber compounds for rough shaping. For very soft or specialised compounds, proceed cautiously and test on a scrap piece first.

Will the disk increase vibration on older truer units?

Because the disk is balanced, it should limit added vibration. However, worn bearings or loose mounts on older truers can still produce wobble, so inspect the truer before use.
