Simple Tyre Bonding with HUDY Bands

HUDY large mounting bands are built to speed up tyre bonding for hobby and club racers. The bands keep steady pressure along the tyre bead so it remains seated in the wheel glue channel, cutting down on air pockets and supporting a tidy glue joint.

Compatible Tyres and Pack Details

These large bands work with a variety of tyres including 1/10 short course, 1/10 truck, 1/10 truggy and 1/8 off-road and truggy types. The purple finish makes them easy to spot in the pit area and adds a bit of style. Each pack supplies four bands for multiple wheel sets.

Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some HUDY items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 8-12 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.

What tyre sizes are these optimised for?

They are optimised for standard 1/10 and 1/8 off-road and truck style tyres; very small or full scale tyres will not fit properly.

How long do I leave the bands on while glue cures?

Leave the bands in place for the glue manufacturer recommended cure time. Make sure the tyre is clean and the bead is properly seated before leaving to cure.

Do the bands affect wheel balance?

No. The bands only apply pressure while the glue sets and are removed before running, so they do not alter wheel balance.
