The HUDY 105253 Octopus band is an accessory designed to hold 1/8 off-road tyres steady while adhesive cures, ensuring consistent bead-to-wheel contact and helping to avoid distortion of the tyre profile.

Its flexible construction applies uniform radial pressure so the glue layer sets evenly and reduces the chance of gaps or high spots. The profile matches common tyre shapes to promote a consistent seal across the bead.

To use, mount the tyre on the wheel, apply the adhesive, then slide the band over the tyre and seat it firmly so the tread and bead compress evenly. Leave the band in place until the adhesive has cured per the glue maker’s instructions.

Supplied as a set of four, the kit is convenient for prepping several tyres at once and keeps prep consistent when experimenting with different compounds or setups.
