Dial in droop with HUDY support blocks

If you race 1/8 off-road vehicles, controlling droop is key to consistent lap times. The HUDY 107704 Chassis Droop Gauge Support Blocks are a lightweight solution to help you measure droop accurately and replicate setups between runs.

Why measuring droop helps your lap times

Droop determines how much down-travel the suspension allows, which changes traction and how the car transfers weight. Using these blocks helps you tune down-travel for better corner exit and mid-corner stability based on surface grip.

Simple placement and measuring tips

Take off the wheels and set the chassis on a flat board supported by the blocks. Place the front block under the servo saver and the rear block under the rear suspension bracket. Use a droop gauge at the wheel hex to take consistent readings.

Practical setup advice for varied surfaces

Adjust droop to suit soft or hard track surfaces; more droop can help over bumpy terrain while less droop can sharpen responsiveness. Small, consistent changes deliver predictable handling improvements.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some HUDY items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 8-12 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
A standard chassis ride height and droop gauge works fine; the blocks simply provide the correct support points and height for accurate measurement.
The blocks are designed for safe support of common 1/8 mounting points, but place them carefully to avoid sharp contact on fragile components.
Removing wheels is recommended; some body posts may be left in place if they do not interfere, but a clear, level board gives the most accurate results.
Keep a setup sheet and note front and rear droop numbers along with shock length and preload so you can return to a known baseline after testing.
