Accurate Clutch Preload Control

The HUDY 182005 Clutch Spring Tool is aimed at hobbyists tuning 1/8 and 1/10 nitro engines. It reduces fiddly handling when fitting and setting the clutch spring preload collar so you can focus on consistent clutch behaviour.

Straightforward Fitting Procedure

Built for clear, repeatable use, the tool makes mounting and removing the preload collar simple. Insert the preload adjusting collar into the tool, press it onto the spring, then screw it onto the clutch nut. For changes, place the tool over the collar and rotate until the desired preload is reached.

Durable Swiss 7075 T6 Alloy

CNC machined from Swiss 7075 T6 aluminium, the tool offers a strong yet lightweight feel. The HUDY diamond texture improves handhold while working. It is offered as part of the "25 years anniversary" range, combining robust build and refined styling.

Is the HUDY 182005 compatible with clutch collars of different sizes?

Compatibility depends on the collar diameter and profile. If the collar matches common 1/8 or 1/10 nitro sizes, the tool will usually work without modification.

Does the tool require special handling?

No special handling is needed. Use plain, steady pressure when seating the collar and avoid excessive force on the clutch nut to prevent thread damage.

Can I keep this tool in my pit bag?

Yes, it is compact and robust for transport. Storing it in a padded pocket will prevent nicks to the diamond surface during travel.

Will the finish wear over time?

With normal workshop use the finish will hold up. Light surface wear may occur but does not affect function; keep it clean to extend appearance and grip.
