Are the compartments removable?

The individual compartments are fixed; they are intended to keep small items separated rather than being reconfigured.

Will bearings roll around inside?

Compartments are deep enough to limit rolling, but very small items might still move slightly during transit; packing foam can help for long trips.

Can it handle solvents?

Avoid strong solvents as they can damage the plastic finish. Use water and mild detergent for cleaning.
