Rear Grip Upgrade with HUDY 816303D-S

Choosing the right tyres is key for pushing a 1/10 scale off-road racer. The HUDY 816303D-S soft compound rear tyres are developed for 2WD and 4WD rear wheels to improve traction on loose and dusty circuits.

Why the Soft Compound Helps

The HUDY 816303D-S compound conforms to surface irregularities, increasing contact patch and translating to better traction in loose dirt. That added grip improves cornering confidence and throttle control.

Compatibility with 2WD and 4WD Rigs

These rear tyres are profiled to fit most 1/10 off-road rear rims and are suitable for both 2WD and 4WD set ups. Their build focuses on repeatable performance across club circuits.

Fitting and Maintenance Tips

  • Remove dust and old glue from rims before mounting to ensure a true bead seat.
  • Use a recommended tyre adhesive and press the tyre evenly onto the rim for a secure bond.
  • Rotate and inspect tyres regularly to spot uneven wear and replace as needed.
Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some HUDY items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 8-12 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
They perform best on dry loose surfaces. In wet conditions the soft compound may pick up mud and lose effectiveness; consider a tread designed for wet use.
Foam inserts are optional but can help maintain tyre shape and improve consistency over bumps. Use a medium-density insert for balanced support.
They fit common 1/10 off-road rear rim sizes, but always check rim width and diameter to confirm correct seating before glueing.
Keep spares in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and solvents to prevent compound degradation.
