BD9 damper shaft with HVF surface

The Yokomo B9-S5SHVFA HVF shock shaft measures 19.1mm and carries a heavy fluorine surface treatment to cut sliding friction and lengthen service life. Produced with input from AXON, the design aims to reduce internal resistance caused by bearings and seals for a cleaner damper feel on BD9 machines.

In everyday tuning this shaft helps the damper pick up small inputs more reliably by eliminating stick-slip, delivering more consistent suspension behavior that aids traction. Durability trials by the engineering group recorded improved wear characteristics over previous coatings.
