Tuning and turn-in effects

The Kyosho IFW708-01 SP Front Knuckle Plate is offered as an aftermarket option to change ackerman geometry on the Inferno MP11 chassis. By replacing the stock plate you can explore different steering characteristics without reworking steering arms or hub carriers.

Intended for MP11-series fitment, the part keeps the factory mounting pattern while the SP variant provides discrete geometry choices in Kyosho's parts lineup. These alternate mounting positions let builders test variations in pivot location and steering arc.

In tuning sessions the plate is used to refine turn-in and mid-corner steering behaviour. Make one change at a time, check alignment and toe after each swap, and record handling differences to establish the best ackerman setting for track conditions.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Kyosho items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Changing to the IFW708-01 shifts pivot geometry and can tighten or soften initial turn-in depending on the mounting hole used; the exact effect depends on suspension setup and tyre grip.
Moving toward more inside-wheel ackerman typically increases initial steering bite, but results vary with roll centre and tyre selection, so test changes progressively.
Alter a single hole or setting per run, note lap times and handling, and revert if the change reduces consistency; consistent conditions yield the clearest feedback.
