MB 339 A P.A.N.

The Aermacchi MB-339 jet trainer is of old-fashioned setup, and stocks most of the MB-326's airframe. It is a minimal, un-swept wing with tip tanks and jet intakes in to the origins, tricycle undercarriage, and accommodation the student and instructor in tandem. The first journey happened on 12 August 1976 and deliveries toward Italian Air Force commenced in 1979. The MB-339 is a completely aerobatic, tandem two-seat, single-turbojet higher-level trainer that covers the whole high rate training syllabus, up to Lead-In Fighter Training. The most recent MB-339CD variation has state-of-the-art avionics. In 1982 the MB-339 finished up being choosed as replacement of the glorious G-91 PAN the “Frecce Tricolori’s” aerobatic team. The group flies the Aermacchi MB-339-A/PAN, a different variation, capable of 898 km/h at sea degree, with nine aircraft and a solo (top number of aircraft of any aerobatic team around the world). The team formal title is: 313° Gruppo Addestramento Acrobatico Pattuglia Acrobatica Nazionale (PAN) “Frecce Tricolori”.
