The Italeri 1374S set presents two landmark First World War aircraft: the British S.E.5a alongside the German Albatros D.III. These types were common in 1917 aerial combat over the Western Front. The Albatros D.III, flown by pilots including Manfred von Richthofen, the "Red Baron", reached roughly 175 km/h and carried twin Spandau machine guns. The S.E.5a served with the Royal Flying Corps and combined Vickers and Lewis armament while offering good speed and stability for its era.
