The Kfir C.2, from Israel Aircraft Industries, evolved from the French Mirage III/5 platform with notable upgrades. Fitted with the General Electric J79 engine and improved avionics, it was intended as an enhanced follow-on to the IAI Nesher. First fielded in 1975, it served with frontline fighter units before moving into strike roles when newer jets arrived.
The Italeri 1/72 representation captures the Kfir C.2 lines and surfaces so kit builders can recreate the type in scale. The box contains decals for four separate versions to reflect a variety of historical markings.
This Italeri Kfir kit benefits from careful preparation and paintwork. Dry fitting parts and cleaning up seams will improve accuracy, while subtle weathering can enhance realism. Finished models make striking additions to display cabinets or aviation scenes.
