The F-104 Starfighter earned its place in aviation history with a distinctive silhouette and long operational life. Introduced in the 1950s, various marks of the type served worldwide for decades. The TF-104G two-seater was developed to train crews destined for the single-seat F-104G and later F-104S fighters.
The TF-104G lacks the forward 20 mm gun and central pylon found on single-seat fighters but uses the same General Electric J79 engine, giving trainees an authentic performance feel. This trainer was widely used within NATO training programmes across nations including Belgium, Norway, Spain and Italy.
This Italeri release presents crisp engraved panels and fine components. It includes a detailed representation of the engine, cockpit and avionics bay. Builders can model the air brakes either open or closed and choose markings from two decal sheets covering eight liveries.
