The Dassault Mirage III became a benchmark for lightweight supersonic fighters when it entered service in the 1960s. Its characteristic delta planform and the Snecma Atar engine gave pilots a straightforward, high-speed platform that saw extensive operational use.
The Mirage IIIE version portrayed here features the extended nose section that housed upgraded avionics, a change that set it apart from earlier blocks and helped extend its operational life across several operators.
This 1/32 kit from Italeri uses newly produced moulds to capture panel lines and the distinct silhouette of the Mirage IIIE/R. The kit comes with super decal sheets covering six different liveries so you can build a historically accurate example or pick a preferred scheme.
Included also are colour assembly instructions and a set of photo-etched parts to add crisp detail to cockpit and external fittings. Expect to use standard modelling adhesives and paints during construction.
