This 1/32 scale injection plastic kit represents the Macchi MC.200 Saetta and is aimed at builders who want a generous-scale prop fighter for detailing and showroom display.
Designed by Mario Castoldi, the Macchi MC.200 Saetta was a late 1930s Italian single-seat fighter built for the Regia Aeronautica. Using a radial engine, it entered service before the outbreak of the Second World War and operated in Mediterranean and North African campaigns. Pilots praised its handling while later, higher-powered fighters ultimately replaced it in frontline units.
The larger 1/32 format gives more room for accurate surface treatment and cockpit work than smaller scales. Construction requires standard modelling methods and consumables such as plastic cement, putty and paint. The scale is well suited to weathering techniques and detailed finishing. Many modellers fit aftermarket instrument panels, harnesses and small detail items to increase fidelity; ensure compatibility with the specific aftermarket set selected.
A large-scale plastic kit of the Macchi MC.200 Saetta tailored to modellers focused on surface fidelity and display impact. The size encourages additional detailing and careful finishing.
