The Ju 87 Stuka holds a notable place among WWII aircraft, recognised for its precise dive-bombing role and distinctive wing shape. This Italeri release highlights the machines operated by the Italian Regia Aeronautica during the early 1940s, nicknamed "Picchiatello", which served in theatres such as Malta, North Africa and across the Mediterranean.
The Stuka's accuracy made it a key asset in early Blitzkrieg operations. Italy received roughly 150 of these aircraft from Germany, where they contributed to several coordinated strikes. This model kit allows modellers to replicate that historical presence in miniature form.
Designed for hobbyists who appreciate fine scale work, the 1/48 Italeri kit includes a super decal sheet for five different markings, a photo-etched fret for intricate elements, and full colour instructions. Note that glue and paint are not supplied and are needed for completion.
