Mirage F1 History and Kit Overview

Introduced by Dassault in the 1970s, the Mirage F1 served many roles with the French Air Force and export customers. The aircraft's swept-wing layout and Snecma Atar powerplant enabled performance up to about Mach 2.2. Italeri reproduces these characteristics at 1/48 scale with careful moulding and panel detail.

Plastic cement for polystyrene is ideal for major joins, while cyanoacrylate is useful for small or split fittings. Test-fit parts dry before gluing for best alignment.

Can I display the model with landing gear down?

Yes, the kit supports both gear-up and gear-down displays. Check the instruction sequence for door and bay detail when choosing the landing configuration.
