1/48 Aermacchi MB 326 by Italeri - Italian Jet Trainer

Italeri's 2814S kit recreates the Aermacchi MB 326, a 1950s Italian two-seat trainer famed for its twin air intakes and Viper jet engine. The model captures the aircraft's clean lines and trainer layout, making it attractive to aviation modellers keen on cockpit and fuselage detail.

Beyond training duties, the MB 326 was exported widely and fitted for light strike missions with underwing options. This 1/48 assembly kit reflects those dual roles and gives builders the chance to reproduce period aircraft markings and fitments.

  • Scale: 1/48
  • Material: Plastic
  • Assembly Type: Requires assembly
  • Paint and Decals: Not included
The cockpit includes basic instrument panels and seating that respond well to careful painting and small aftermarket upgrades if you want extra realism.
Builders with some experience will find it approachable; absolute beginners can complete it too but should allow time for sanding and fitting small parts.
You will want model paints, brushes or an airbrush, clear coat and adhesive. Masking tape and fine sandpaper help achieve neat paint lines.
The kit does not include decals beyond what the manufacturer supplies, so check the box art or instructions for the included marking options before starting.
