The Italeri 1/12 representation of the Alfa Romeo 8C/2300 Roadster honours a standout sports car from the 1930s. Famous for its forward-thinking engineering and racing success, the Alfa Romeo 8C used an 8-cylinder inline supercharged engine displacing 2,336 cc. The powerplant was prized for its blend of speed and reliability on long events.
Drivers such as Tazio Nuvolari scored notable victories in the 8C, including triumphs at the Targa Florio and at Monza in the Italian Grand Prix. The Monza association stuck with the GP versions, while roadster editions were produced in limited runs for wealthy enthusiasts who wanted open-top performance.
This Italeri kit delivers an authentic representation of the Alfa Romeo 8C/2300. It includes a finely moulded engine, believable suspension parts and genuine rubber tyres for correct scale appearance. With 320 plastic components, 30 chromed pieces and photoetched items, the build offers rewarding detail. Features include an opening cowling, moveable steering and a colour instruction sheet to guide painting and finishing. Glue and paint are required for assembly.
