Stalingrad Siege 1/72 diorama by Italeri - historic urban combat

Stalingrad represented one of the most intense struggles of World War II, where street fighting and ruined cityscapes defined the conflict. From mid 1942 the Red Army and German forces fought fiercely for control of key river approaches and urban districts as bombing left whole quarters devastated.

German forces aimed to capture industrial complexes, notably a large tractor factory that was later used to support tank production. Despite sustained bombardment, Soviet countermeasures in November 1942 trapped German units and culminated in the Sixth Army surrender during early 1943, shifting momentum in favour of the Soviets.

This Italeri 1/72 set enables modellers to build a realistic miniature of the siege, offering modular elements for creating ruined buildings and battlefield scenery.
