Trumpeter KA-27 Helix 03415 - miniature naval helicopter for 1:700 decks

The Trumpeter 03415 KA-27 Helix represents the shipboard Ka-27 helicopter in 1:700 scale as a plastic model kit intended for naval modelers and diorama builders.

Designed originally by the Kamov design bureau in the 1970s, the Ka-27 served Soviet and later Russian navies in anti-submarine, search and rescue, and logistical roles. Its coaxial rotors and compact dimensions allowed operation from the limited deck space of frigates and destroyers.

This kit follows a small-scale construction style focused on preserving the helicopter silhouette and key external traits. Because of the small parts and tight tolerances, modelers experienced with miniature naval subjects will find assembly more straightforward.

A compact, well-detailed small-scale Ka-27 suitable for insertion into 1:700 ship scenes; its size and parts count make it a practical add-on for fleet displays.

The small scale and tiny components make it most suitable for modelers who have experience assembling detailed miniature naval subjects.
Precision tools such as fine tweezers, a sharp hobby knife, and a small file set are recommended to handle and trim the tiny pieces safely.
The retail box measures approximately 12.6 x 8.7 x 3.0 cm, which is compact and easy to store.
At 1:700 the model captures the overall outline and major external features; fine detail is limited by the scale, so careful painting and weathering help enhance realism.
