First released in 1979, the Kawasaki Z1300 featured a 1,286cc liquid-cooled inline six DOHC engine noted for its balance and performance, producing about 120hp and capable of around 220 km/h with a 0-400m run near 12 seconds. Tamiya 16023 recreates this iconic unit at 1/6 scale to let modellers explore its construction and styling.
The model recreates authentic engine elements including the radiator, air cleaner and drive shaft, and gives attention to both tiny fasteners and larger pieces like the cylinder head cover and triple carburetors. Components arrive mostly in black plastic combined with chrome and matte plated parts for realism, plus a mesh stone guard and a synthetic rubber shaft boot. The finished assembly is made to be shown on the supplied stand with a specification sticker.
